Summer youth workers scheme
Following on from successful delivery in 2014 we were asked to recruit and select 30 youth workers to deliver a 4 week scheme aimed at 16-18 year old. The project involves both a residential trip and community based initiatives with the goals of the charity and our workers being to improve the life skills of the young adults in various situations especially team work skills. However the project improves many skills for young adults such as cooking, integration and project management skills to name but a few.
Through the community based projects the young adults get an opportunity to meet and integrate with people in society they previously wouldn’t have had an opportunity to. From the feedback we get from the staff we supply, this has a very positive effect on the young adults and often gives them a different outlook on certain sectors of the society we live in. We hope that the young adults have enjoyed the programme as much as our youth workers have.
The staff Education World provided to help with the project have all been very enthusiastic from start to finish and have thoroughly enjoyed the project. Don’t just take our word for it though, see what some of our support workers have said about the project and Education World. One support worker was very happy and impressed with our service stating “It has been great working with the project and with the ease and professionalism of your agency and staff.”
Another support worker declared, “The project was very rewarding, great to see how the young adults interacted with one another and staff over the course of the project, would definitely do the project again next year.” The reviews have been very encouraging and would again like to thank the staff for all of their hard work!
Finally, we are very appreciative for the kind words that the project organisers have given to Education World in saying “The quality of staff and their enthusiasm has been brilliant. I have had the opportunity to speak to a few of them personally and they seem to really get what we are trying to do. Thanks again for all your support”. We are looking forward to working with you again in the near future and the positive comments from our workers and the organisers alike make all the hard work worthwhile.
