Thank you Education World for a great day speaking at Sandhill View Academy, looking forward to December 6th now! ☺️ - Amy Tinkler
Yesterday, hundreds of primary and secondary school pupils from our client schools throughout the region came along to a very special Olympic event hosted by Education World at Sandhill View Academy. These pupils were invited along after winning a place in our competition to meet local Olympian and bronze medallist, Amy Tinkler.
Amy treat us all to a demontration of the skills and talent that won her an Olympic bronze medal at the age of only 16! She also spoke to us at length about her life and career to date and explained how she has managed to train to compete at such an elite standard as well as balancing her academic studies in order to do well in her GCSEs and beyond. Amy inspired and motivated us all to work hard in both school and our chosen sport, to be dedicated and committed, to always believe in ourselves and most importantly, to enjoy what we choose to do!
We'd like to extend a huge thank you to Sandhill View Academy who kindly agreed to host this event, to all of the pupils and teachers who got involved in the competition (who created some fantastic posters, essays and media pieces!) and to Amy herself for proving to be such a wonderful example of what you can achieve with hard work and dedication.
We're looking forward to seeing Amy again on December 6th when she will be visiting 3 of our local schools to deliver a special assembly and continue to inspire the next generation of athletes. If you would like the chance to win a visit and assembly from Amy, please get in touch with one of our lovely consultants who will let you know how you can enter into our prize draw. Winners will be announced on Friday 2nd December.
