SEN Learning Support Assistant- OCT START

Education World is currently working on behalf of an OfSTED rated 'GOOD' school in Durham to recruit of a SEN Learning Support Assistant.
Our client school is a specialist SEN school who caters for pupils aged from 2-19. The school caters for pupils who have a range of special educational needs including moderate learning difficulties, severe learning difficulties, communication disorders (including specialist autistic provision) and complex and multiple learning difficulties.
The role we are assisting our client school to fill will be in Key Stage 3 and consist of providing 1:1 or very small group support to pupils in lessons covering a number of different topics.
The role is due to begin immediately after the Oct half term holidays and is expected to be long term, on-going.
Applicants must have at least a level 3 qualification in a relevant TA course and also be able to demonstrate a proven track history of having worked with pupils who have statements of SEN. Training in Moving and Handling would also be very beneficial. You must also be available to attend a face-to-face interview during which mandatory safeguarding checks are carried out. An enhanced DBS subscribed to the Update Service is also essential. Education World is committed to safeguarding the welfare of children in education.
