Are you a passionate Early Years Practitioner?

We are seeking a dedicated Level 3 Early Years Practitioner to join a friendly team at a well-established nursery school in Washington.

About the Role:
This is a full-time, long-term position starting in January 2024 and running until the end of the academic year. You will be responsible for a small group of children as their key worker, building strong relationships with children, supporting their learning, and creating a safe and nurturing environment. The successful candidate will have a child-centered approach to education and be able to hit the ground running, ensuring children’s needs are met in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with a key worker group to monitor, support, and track children’s progress.
  • Plan and implement engaging, child-led activities that support children’s development across all areas of the EYFS with the support of the EYFS team.
  • Build positive, trusting relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in your care.
  • Be proactive in creating a stimulating, inclusive, and caring environment.

About You:

  • Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent).
  • Proven experience working in a nursery or early years setting, including experience of managing a key worker group.
  • A child-centered approach to education, with a strong commitment to supporting children's development.
  • The ability to work well as part of a team and independently.
  • Passionate about providing the best possible start in life for children.
