Job Title:             SEND Teaching Assistant

Location:          Alvaston, Derbyshire

Start Date:       ASAP

Duration:            2 terms with option of permanent role being offered

Rate of Pay:     £85 - £105 per day

Simply put, this is a gift of a school to work at. The school is a SEN school catering for secondary age pupils based in Derby city centre. It is a truly lovely environment that is contributed to by the pupils and the staff alike. It is currently graded ‘Outstanding’ due to the exceptional teaching and support on offer, as well as a strategic, supportive SLT. Vacancy Details

Assist the lead teacher in implementing educational activities and lesson plans

Provide support to students with special needs, including those with autism

Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment

Assist with classroom management and behaviour management strategies

Support students in their social and emotional development

Collaborate with the lead teacher to assess student progress and provide feedback to parents/guardians

Candidate Requirements

Experience working with children, particularly those with special needs or autism

Knowledge of special education practices and strategies

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

Ability to work well in a team and collaborate with others

Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children

Ability to adapt to the needs of individual students
Full enhanced DBS

Minimum of 2 quality references

Completion of trial / interview etc

Completion of registration with Education World
