Are you a passionate and experienced SEND professional looking for a rewarding role in a vibrant mainstream primary school? We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team, working closely with children who have additional needs.

About the Role:

  • Position: Teaching Assistant / SEND Professional
  • Type: Full-time, long-term

  • Start Date: 06.01.2025

You will play a crucial role in helping children across different year groups achieve their potential. This role will involve providing tailored support, primarily on a 1:1 basis, to pupils with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEND.
  • Assist in developing and implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external professionals to ensure each child’s needs are met.
  • Promote an inclusive learning environment where all children feel valued and supported.
  • Help children develop their confidence, independence, and social skills.

About You:
We are looking for someone who:

  • Has prior experience working with children with SEND, ideally in a school setting.
  • Is patient, empathetic, and committed to making a positive impact.
  • Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Is proactive, adaptable, and able to use their initiative.
  • Holds relevant qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning, CACHE Level 3, or equivalent) – desirable but not essential.
