KS2 Teacher – North London (Fixed-Term Contract)

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic KS2 Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in North London. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate practitioner who is committed to delivering high-quality teaching and helping pupils achieve their full potential both academically and personally.

The successful KS2 Teacher will join the school on a fixed-term contract from September 2026 to July 2027, with the potential for the role to become permanent thereafter. ECTs are encouraged to apply and will benefit from a supportive environment with access to high-quality mentoring and professional development opportunities.

As a KS2 Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering engaging lessons, fostering a positive learning environment, and supporting pupils as they progress through Key Stage 2. The school is looking for a KS2 Teacher who is committed to raising attainment, inspiring a love of learning, and making a positive contribution to the wider school community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging and creative lessons in line with the Key Stage 2 curriculum.
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment where all pupils can thrive.
  • Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress, using assessment effectively to inform planning and next steps.
  • Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all learners, including pupils with SEND and varying abilities.
  • Promote high standards of behaviour, engagement, and achievement within the classroom.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, carers, and colleagues to support learning and wellbeing.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider school team to contribute to school life and ongoing improvement.
  • Support pupils’ personal, social, and emotional development alongside their academic progress.
  • Ensure safeguarding procedures and school policies are followed at all times.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be due to achieve QTS before September 2026.
  • ECTs and experienced teachers are welcome to apply.
  • Strong knowledge of the Key Stage 2 curriculum and effective classroom practice.
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and classroom management skills.
  • A nurturing, enthusiastic, and adaptable approach to teaching and learning.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • The ability to inspire and motivate pupils to achieve their full potential.

This role would suit a passionate KS2 Teacher looking to develop their career within a supportive school environment. Whether you are an ECT seeking your first teaching position or an experienced KS2 Teacher looking for a new challenge, this opportunity offers excellent professional development and the potential to secure a permanent role following the successful completion of the fixed-term contract.
