Temporary Recruitment Team

Hello I am Andrew and an Education World veteran. I have worked for the company since November 2014 and it’s been quite a journey. I started in a very small office of 4 employees, so its very exciting to see where the company is today with multiple UK offices and close to 30 employees. Initially I was a recruitment consultant running a very successful desk looking after predominately primary schools for a number of years. I took on management responsibilities in 2019 where I continued to run a desk and manage a team of consultants in the North East. My desk continued to grow and so did the team achieving great results year on year. In 2022, I took the difficult decision to give up my desk and focus solely on managing. I now manage Education World temp sales teams across Gateshead, Durham and Sheffield as well as our EWRS team. I look forward to the continued success and growth of these teams into the next few years.
I joined Education World as a Secondary Team Leader in 2019, after working in Education Recruitment for the previous 8 years. I am now very proud to head up the amazing Primary and Secondary consultants across the North East. Here at Education World, we have children’s education at the heart of everything we do, so you can rest assured we will work hard to ensure the best for you and your school! Please feel free to contact me for a chat – I’d love to hear from you!
I started my career within the Education Industry in 2012 and have worked as a branch manager and consultant, I have now joined Education World supporting Primary Schools in East Midlands.
This is a fantastic opportunity; and I am excited to be working along side primary schools supporting them with their long term and day to day needs. With my extensive experience my main aim is to ensure I am consistently providing outstanding staff and be a consultant schools are able to rely on as their first port of call. As well as having experience of working as a Branch Manager and Education Consultant I also have experience working with Special Needs Schools, Catholic Schools and Academy Trusts in Nottingham/Leicester; something of which I am excited to start up again within Education World.

I joined Education World in 2014 to work as an education recruitment consultant, looking after the schools and candidates in the Durham area. My previous employment had been as a qualified primary school teacher and then a supply teacher. Using my previous career and expertise, my intention was to use my knowledge and be able to develop an office in the Durham area. Over the years, I have formed strong relationships and trust with clients and candidates, enabling me to progress the business. My passion is recruitment, and I like getting excited about anything and everything to do with education - whether it be with my schools or candidates.
I've been here at Education World since 2020 after deciding to take a break from my 10-year primary teaching career. I work with nurseries and mainstream primary schools from central Durham all the way down to Teesdale. I would say my superpower is finding outstanding candidates and matching them to the roles within my wonderful partner schools. I love to visit my schools regularly, and I'll never come empty-handed, sweet treats for all! Another part of my role here is dedicating time to work with our candidates and support them in their professional development, offering them training opportunities and guidance relevant to their roles.
I joined education world as an education recruitment consultant back in 2021. Before this exciting career change, I had the privilege of being a primary teacher, which provided me with valuable insights into the education sector and the specific needs of schools. I can honestly say that I love my job and the wonderful work family I've found in this field. There's nothing more rewarding than helping candidates find their perfect job and seeing them gain more experience and build their confidence. Over time, I've built brilliant relationships with schools, and I take immense pride in understanding their unique requirements and values. Being able to connect the right educators with the right schools is incredibly rewarding, and I am glad I am able to help them in this journey.

I have worked within the recruitment sector for the past 6 years starting as a resourcer before moving on to become a recruitment consultant. I joined Education World in March 2020 as a primary consultant and after studying Education Studies at York St John University, felt like I was finally putting my degree to good use. As of Sept 2022, I am the specialist education recruitment consultant for our special educational needs schools and provisions in South Yorkshire. I pride myself on being approachable, friendly and reliable with both candidates and clients.
I joined Education World in June 2022 after finishing a Psychology with Business degree at Northumbria University. At Education World, I am part of the Secondary Team servicing Middle and Secondary schools across Newcastle, Northumberland and North Tyneside. Though I lacked prior recruitment experience, being fresh out of university, I have efficiently connected schools and candidates with their perfect fit. Helping people has always been at the forefront of my personality, so being able to help people day in and day out in my role as a consultant is something I thoroughly enjoy doing. Not only have I been able to help schools and candidates, but I have also dedicated my time to volunteer at career events within our partner schools (which are great fun!), enriching students' knowledge of the world of work. Building relationships with schools and candidates is something I value, knowing that I can make their lives just a little bit easier, whether on the staffing or employment front. There is nothing I love more than making a positive impact in the lives of others through my work.

As a graduate of Nottingham Trent University in Fine Art, I have developed a passion for creativity in all areas of my work, which led me to pursuing a PGCE from Northumbria University in Primary Education. In July 2024, I joined Education World as a Temporary Resourcer, where I quickly immersed myself in the recruitment process. By September 2024, I transitioned into the role of an Associate Recruitment Consultant, where I now work creatively to implement effective recruitment solutions for both local primary schools and candidates in the Northumberland area.
I have worked in Education Recruitment for the last 4 years, focusing on placing top quality teachers into tutoring and intervention roles. I have worked with Primary and Secondary schools across the country, providing tutoring sessions to help all pupils reach their full potential. I have also worked along side several Local Authorities in the SEN sector, providing tutors for pupils who do not attend school. I find my job incredibly rewarding and love knowing that by finding the right tutor, it can help shape the pupil’s lives!
