Meet the Education World team

Hello I am Andrew and an Education World veteran. I have worked for the company since November 2014 and it’s been quite a journey. I started in a very small office of 4 employees, so its very exciting to see where the company is today with multiple UK offices and close to 30 employees. Initially I was a recruitment consultant running a very successful desk looking after predominately primary schools for a number of years. I took on management responsibilities in 2019 where I continued to run a desk and manage a team of consultants in the North East. My desk continued to grow and so did the team achieving great results year on year. In 2022, I took the difficult decision to give up my desk and focus solely on managing. I now manage Education World temp sales teams across Gateshead, Durham and Sheffield as well as our EWRS team. I look forward to the continued success and growth of these teams into the next few years.

I joined Education World as a Secondary Team Leader in 2019, after working in Education Recruitment for the previous 8 years. I am now very proud to head up the amazing Primary and Secondary consultants across the North East. Here at Education World, we have children’s education at the heart of everything we do, so you can rest assured we will work hard to ensure the best for you and your school! Please feel free to contact me for a chat – I’d love to hear from you!

I joined Education World in 2014 to work as an education recruitment consultant, looking after the schools and candidates in the Durham area. My previous employment had been as a qualified primary school teacher and then a supply teacher. Using my previous career and expertise, my intention was to use my knowledge and be able to develop an office in the Durham area. Over the years, I have formed strong relationships and trust with clients and candidates, enabling me to progress the business. My passion is recruitment, and I like getting excited about anything and everything to do with education - whether it be with my schools or candidates.

I joined Education World in June 2022 after finishing a Psychology with Business degree at Northumbria University. At Education World, I am part of the Secondary Team servicing Middle and Secondary schools across Newcastle, Northumberland and North Tyneside. Though I lacked prior recruitment experience, being fresh out of university, I have efficiently connected schools and candidates with their perfect fit. Helping people has always been at the forefront of my personality, so being able to help people day in and day out in my role as a consultant is something I thoroughly enjoy doing. Not only have I been able to help schools and candidates, but I have also dedicated my time to volunteer at career events within our partner schools (which are great fun!), enriching students' knowledge of the world of work. Building relationships with schools and candidates is something I value, knowing that I can make their lives just a little bit easier, whether on the staffing or employment front. There is nothing I love more than making a positive impact in the lives of others through my work.

Hi, I’m Dominic, a former Primary School teacher turned education recruitment specialist. I’ve been in the recruitment industry for over four years now, and will be bringing everything I learned in that time into my role at Education World.

Having worked in the classroom myself, I truly understand what schools need and what staff are looking for. That insight helps me make meaningful matches that really work, for both schools and educators. I joined Education World because they’re a genuinely fantastic team who care about doing things the right way. I’m proud to be part of that and excited to share it with the schools and staff I support every day.

I began working as an education recruitment consultant for Education World in 2024. Before transitioning into recruitment, I completed a BA in Primary Education at Northumbria University then spent five years working as a primary school teacher in both Newcastle upon Tyne and Manchester. Having taught in both mainstream and SEN provisions, I have a good understanding of the education sector. I specialise in finding the perfect match to fit the needs of our partner schools and the career aspirations of our amazing candidates. I’m committed to supporting schools in building strong, dynamic teams that can inspire and educate the next generation.

With over 28 years’ experience in the recruitment industry, I joined Education World in December 2025, bringing a wealth of knowledge, insight, and a people-first approach to education recruitment. My career spans global agencies and specialist recruitment markets, giving me a deep understanding of what makes successful placements work for both schools and candidates.

I am passionately committed to supporting primary schools, specialising in the placement of primary school teachers and teaching assistants into both short- and long-term temporary roles. I focus on building strong relationships, understanding school cultures, and ensuring every placement delivers continuity, quality, and positive outcomes for pupils and staff alike.

With almost 27 years experience in recruitment, including over three and a half years specialising in Education, I am passionate about connecting great people with the right opportunities. I've supported primary and SEN schools across the North East, helping them find the right staff for both short-term and long-term roles. I really value building strong, lasting relationships with schools and candidates and taking the time to understand what matters to them. By getting to know each school's culture and individual needs, I aim to make the recruitment process personal, supportive and successful- ultimately helping create positive outcomes for pupils, schools and staff.
