Education World is currently recruiting enthusiastic and caring qualified Early Years Teaching Assistants to work across a range of private nursery and early years provisions in Sunderland.
We are looking for passionate individuals who enjoy supporting young children during the most important stages of their development. Whether you are seeking flexible work around other commitments or a longer-term opportunity, we have a variety of roles available.
Please note: Due to the requirements of our client settings, applicants must hold a recognised Early Years qualification.
The Role
As an Early Years Teaching Assistant, you may be responsible for:
- Supporting children within nursery and early years environments.
- Assisting the Room Leader and wider nursery team with daily activities and routines.
- Supporting children's learning and development through play-based activities.
- Encouraging positive social, emotional and communication skills.
- Providing one-to-one or small-group support where required.
- Helping to create a safe, engaging and inclusive learning environment.
- Supporting children with additional needs where necessary.
- Assisting with observations and monitoring children's development.
Essential Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must:
- Hold a recognised Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years, Childcare or an equivalent relevant qualification.
- Have experience working with children within an Early Years or nursery setting.
- Have a good understanding of the EYFS framework.
- Be caring, patient, enthusiastic and reliable.
- Be confident supporting children through play-based learning and structured activities.
- Be able to build positive relationships with children, colleagues and parents.
- Hold, or be willing to obtain, an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.
