School Cleaner – Washington (Part-Time)
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking School Cleaner to join a welcoming school in Washington on a part-time basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with school cleaning experience who takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in an educational setting. The role follows a set working pattern of 15:00–17:30 Monday to Thursday and 15:00–17:00 on Fridays, running until Summer 2026 with the potential for a permanent contract thereafter.
As a School Cleaner, you will play a key role in ensuring the school environment is clean, safe, and presentable for pupils and staff, helping to maintain a positive and healthy setting for learning.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out cleaning duties across the school as a School Cleaner, including classrooms, corridors, toilets, and communal areas.
- Ensure all areas are cleaned to a high standard in line with health and safety and hygiene regulations.
- Use cleaning equipment and materials safely and effectively.
- Follow cleaning schedules and complete daily and periodic tasks as required.
- Report any maintenance issues or health and safety concerns promptly.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the school day as a School Cleaner.
- Adhere to safeguarding procedures and school policies at all times.
Working Pattern
- Monday to Thursday: 15:00 – 17:30
- Friday: 15:00 – 17:00
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Previous experience working as a School Cleaner or in a similar cleaning role within a school setting.
- A strong understanding of cleaning standards, hygiene practices, and health and safety regulations.
- The ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
