Working for Education World since 2008, I am now proud to hold the role of managing director with what has established itself as a well-respected brand in education recruitment. I have been working in Finance roles since 1998 and for Juhler Group companies since 2013 and have over 10 years experience with processing weekly temporary workers payroll. I enjoy a spreadsheet more than what would be considered normal.
I have 8 years’ experience in customer services and administration across a wide range of sectors including manufacturing, utilities and education. I joined Education World in February 2019 as the sole compliance officer and as the company grew became the Compliance Manager responsible for the oversight of our stringent compliance procedures and a team of compliance officers. In 2023, I made the move into systems, IT and data.

Hello, I'm Sarah, and I'm the Communications and Engagement Manager here at EW. Internally, my role revolves around ensuring seamless communication within our organisation, keeping our team well-informed about important updates, initiatives, and company news. Additionally, I spearhead our internal engagement strategies, including our ongoing Core Values project, conducting focus groups, and organising internal events, all aimed at nurturing the positive and supportive community we've built here at EW.
Externally, I take charge of our digital presence, overseeing our website and social media platforms to uphold our brand identity and promote a vibrant online presence. Furthermore, I actively develop partnerships with external stakeholders such as universities, colleges, and governmental agencies, fostering pathways into fulfilling roles within the education sector.
I Joined Education World in 2020 as a senior compliance and resourcing officer responsible for overseeing all compliance and safeguarding procedures for our Sheffield branch. I have over ten years of experience in compliance and a sound knowledge of the requirements of responsible recruitment within the education sector as laid out by the REC and DfE, including the Duty to refer (Disclosure and Barring Service), safeguarding awareness/NSPCC child protection, and GDPR awareness.
Hi, I'm Joe, your friendly Compliance & Resourcing Officer, and self-proclaimed Office Comedian. My journey into compliance began unexpectedly after working as a sound engineer & Stage technician in the theatre industry. Putting people first is my priority, and I thrive on helping candidates find their dream roles while ensuring children's safety. At Education World, we not only provide employment opportunities but also build human connections. Balancing seriousness with a touch of humour, I like to make compliance a positive and enjoyable experience. I began my career in recruitment in the industrial and commercial sector while obtaining my Level 2 NVQ in Business Administration. After completing my apprenticeship in 2017, I moved into education recruitment where I started working in compliance.
When I came to Education World, we had just opened our South Yorkshire office, and I have watched our company grow from strength to strength since. It’s a real privilege to be part of such a dedicated and hardworking team, committed to finding the right partnerships for our staff and schools!
