Giving Back with Heart: Our 2024–25 Community Highlights

At Education World, we believe education goes far beyond the classroom walls. It's about building brighter futures, supporting local families, and being a positive force in the communities we serve.

This past academic year, our team has proudly rolled up their sleeves donating time, raising spirits, and giving back wherever we can. From grassroots sport to careers guidance, craft sessions to community care, here’s a look back at the moments that made 2024–25 so special.

Grassroots Football: Backing Local Talent

At EW Recruitment Services, community starts on the pitch. Stephen and the team have proudly supported local grassroots football clubs, helping fund kits and equipment that keep the game accessible for all.

Grassroots sport brings young people together, builds resilience, and offers a sense of pride, and we’re thrilled to play a small part in their journey.

Feeding Families: Fighting Holiday Hunger

This year, we teamed up with Feeding Families to support local households during the school holidays. Our team organised in-office collections of essential items, which were donated directly to Feeding Families. We also made a monetary donation from our Community Fund to help extend the charity’s reach and impact across the region.

With the cost of living continuing to affect so many, this initiative offered timely, practical support, showing families they’re not alone.

Because no child should go hungry, and no parent should have to choose between food and other essentials.

Partnering with Red Sky Foundation: Health & Hope

Our work with the Red Sky Foundation has continued to grow in 2024–25. From supporting awareness campaigns to championing heart health in schools and community settings, this partnership reflects our shared values: health, opportunity, and hope for every child.

Together, we’re helping to fund life-saving equipment and deliver heart health education right where it matters most.

NUFC Ticket Giveaways: Experiences to Remember

Football fans across the North-East were buzzing as we gave away several Newcastle United hospitality tickets this season. Whether it was educators, families, or local legends attending, these giveaways created unforgettable memories at St James’ Park.

It was our way of saying thank you and celebrating the amazing people in our network.

Giving Back to Schools: Pages & Pizza

This year, we ran two brilliant giveaways aimed at giving schools a little something extra to say thank you.

We kicked things off with a £100 Book Voucher Giveaway to celebrate World Book Day, giving one lucky school the chance to refresh their classroom or library with brand-new books. Nominated by our followers, the winning school received a meaningful boost to support reading and literacy.

Next came our Pizza Party Giveaway, where schools were once again nominated via Facebook to win a £100 pizza voucher, to be used however they liked, whether to reward students or treat hardworking staff. The response was fantastic, with heartfelt nominations pouring in from across the region.

Simple gestures, big smiles.

Volunteering in Schools: Sharing Skills and Shaping Futures

This year, we’ve had the privilege of supporting young people on their journey into the world of work.

  • Lucy volunteered a brilliant 16 hours through the North Tyneside Learning Trust’s World of Work programme, helping students gain vital employability skills and insight into different career paths. From CV advice to interview prep, Lucy’s efforts were officially recognised and deeply appreciated.
  • Dom and Laura also stepped up to take part in careers days across local schools, offering real-world advice, inspiration, and practical tips to help students feel more confident about their future.

We believe every student deserves to hear “you can do this”, and we’re proud to be part of that message.

Charlotte’s Crafteroons: Creativity with a Cause

Charlotte brought colour, glue sticks, and imagination to schools and community spaces with her Crafteroons, a fun, hands-on series of craft sessions that blended creativity with personal expression.

These sessions gave children the chance to explore their ideas, make something meaningful, and most importantly, have fun doing it. A brilliant example of how creativity and confidence go hand in hand.

A Sweet End-of-Year Surprise

To round off the summer term, we helped bring a little joy to the amazing team at Durham Trinity School by supporting an ice cream van visit for staff. Organised by Beverley O'Neil and warmly received by Alison and the team, this small gesture was our way of saying thank you for another year of dedication.

It’s the little moments that matter, and this one certainly raised a few smiles (and a few cones!).

Reflecting with Pride

As the 2024–25 school year wraps up, we’re incredibly proud of the time, care and commitment our team has poured into the communities around us. Each act of kindness, whether a pizza voucher, a volunteering hour, or a football sponsorship, has been a building block in our mission to make education more human, more hopeful, and more connected.

To every partner, school, charity and family we’ve worked with this year: thank you. You’ve made this year one to remember.

Here’s to even more impact in the year ahead.
