Here’s what you need to know about getting registered with us.

If you’re ready to join Education World, getting prepped for registration is the best way to speed things up. Having all your documents and information ready will make the process smooth and help us find the right role for you as quickly as possible.

Documents for Registration

To get started with us, we’ll need a few key documents from you. Having these ready means fewer delays and a faster route to your first placement. Here’s what you’ll need:

  • Proof of Right to Work in the UK
  • Photographic ID
  • Proof of Address
  • National Insurance Number
  • Enhanced Child Workforce DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check on the Update Service. We can assist with a new DBS check if needed, for a £55 processing fee (refundable after 30 shifts with us).
  • Qualifications and Certificates
  • Overseas Police Check (if applicable)
  • References covering your employment or accademic history over the past 2 years
  • An Updated CV (with any gaps in employment explained)

Getting these together in advance helps you move smoothly through registration and right into finding your ideal job.

Registration: Step by Step

Step 1: Initial Phone Call

Your registration journey starts with a quick and friendly phone call from one of our team members at Education World. We’ll get to know you a bit - your professional background, career goals, and any qualifications you have. This is also your chance to ask questions about our recruitment process, the types of roles we place candidates in, or anything else about working with us. This conversation helps us learn what kind of role suits you best.

Step 2: Registration Appointment (In-Person or via Video Call)

Following the call, we’ll set up a formal registration appointment with you, either in person at our office or via a video call on Teams. This meeting gives us a chance to go over the registration form and make sure all your documentation is complete (such as ID, qualifications, and references).

We’ll also confirm your DBS status.

This appointment is also where we’ll discuss your job preferences - whether you’re interested in specific locations, types of work, hours, and your career goals. All of this information helps us get a clear picture of you as a candidate so we can match you with roles that fit.

Step 3: Compliance with Education World

After your registration appointment, our in-house Compliance Team takes over to finalise the process. They’ll verify your right to work, check your DBS status, confirm your qualifications, and complete reference checks. Our team works efficiently to meet all safeguarding and legal standards required for working in education.

If there’s any missing information, our Compliance Team will reach out to help you complete the necessary steps. We aim to make sure everything runs as smoothly as possible so you can be cleared to start work.

Step 4: Cleared for Work

Once all checks are completed, you’ll get the go-ahead to start working with Education World! From here, you’ll start receiving job opportunities tailored to your preferences and qualifications. Our recruitment team will stay in touch, offering ongoing support as you step into your new role.

At Education World, we’re dedicated to supporting you every step of the way. Getting prepared ahead of time really does make a difference in how quickly we can place you, and we’re looking forward to helping you find the perfect role!
