The Role

As an Economics Teacher, you will:

Teach Economics at Key Stage 5, delivering engaging and challenging lessons that inspire students to achieve their full potential.
Plan and deliver high-quality learning experiences that develop students' analytical, evaluative, and critical thinking skills.
Use current economic issues and real-world examples to bring the subject to life.
Assess, monitor, and support student progress to ensure excellent outcomes.
Contribute to curriculum development and departmental initiatives.
Support students with university applications, particularly those pursuing Economics, Finance, Business, and related degree pathways.
Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain high standards of teaching and learning.

The Ideal Candidate

The successful Economics Teacher will:

Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
Have experience teaching Economics, ideally at Key Stage 5.
Demonstrate excellent subject knowledge and a passion for Economics education.
Have high expectations of student achievement and behaviour.
Possess strong classroom management and communication skills.
Be committed to creating an inclusive learning environment where all students can thrive.
Be enthusiastic about contributing to a successful and ambitious sixth form provision.

Applications are welcomed from both experienced Economics Teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) with a strong academic background in Economics.
