The Role
As an English & Drama Teacher, you will:
- Teach English across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to teach Key Stage 5 for suitable candidates.
- Deliver engaging Drama lessons that encourage creativity, confidence, and self-expression.
- Plan and deliver high-quality lessons that challenge, inspire, and motivate learners.
- Foster a passion for reading, writing, speaking, and performance both inside and outside the classroom.
- Assess, monitor, and support student progress to ensure excellent outcomes.
- Contribute to the continued development of the English and Drama curriculum.
- Support extracurricular activities, including school productions, performances, clubs, and enrichment opportunities.
The Ideal Candidate
The successful English & Drama Teacher will:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Have experience teaching English and/or Drama at secondary level.
- Demonstrate excellent subject knowledge and a genuine passion for English and the performing arts.
- Have strong classroom management skills and high expectations for student achievement.
- Be committed to creating an inclusive learning environment where all students can thrive.
- Be enthusiastic about contributing to a collaborative and forward-thinking department.
ECTs and experienced English & Drama Teachers are encouraged to apply.
