Are you a qualified teacher or Level 4 Teaching Assistant looking to support students with their work both in and out of the classroom? A local school in Blyth is seeking to appoint a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (L4 and above) on both a full-time and part-time basis.
As an HLTA, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that students receive a quality education, supporting them in and out of classroom activities. This role has the potential to become a permanent one for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver small group lessons such as phonics to children, as well as lead and support in interventions both in and out of the classroom.
- Support individual or small groups of students, including those with SEN.
- Assist with assessment, tracking student progress, and adapting support strategies.
- Supervise students during non-classroom activities like breaks or trips.
- Provide pastoral care and help maintain a positive learning environment.
The Ideal candidate will:
- Have already obtained a Level 4 Teaching Assistant qualification or UK Qualified Teacher Status.
- Have an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or a willingness to acquire one.
- Be able to reliably commute to the school site either by car or on public transport.
- Have previous experience of teaching Phonics Programs such as Little Wandle or Read Write Inc is preferred.
- Reliable and punctual with a commitment to fulfilling the needs of the school and students.
- Be able to provide information including Right To Work documents, Proof of Address and proof of a National Insurance number
