Walker | Full-Time | September Start | 08:30am – 3:30pm | Term Time Only

We are currently working in partnership with a fantastic primary school in Walker that is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support their team from September on a full-time, long-term basis.

This is an excellent opportunity to work within a welcoming and supportive school where you will primarily support pupils in Key Stage 1, while also spending some time within the Early Years provision when required.

The school is looking for a nurturing and proactive individual who is passionate about supporting children's learning and development and can make a positive contribution to the classroom environment.

The Role

  • Full-time position, Monday to Friday, 08:30am – 3:30pm.
  • Supporting teaching and learning across Key Stage 1 classes.
  • Delivering interventions and providing additional support to individual pupils and small groups.
  • Assisting with the preparation of learning materials and classroom activities.
  • Supporting children's academic, social, and emotional development.
  • Working closely with teachers and other members of staff to ensure the best outcomes for pupils.
  • Providing support within the Early Years setting when required.

Requirements

  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or Level 3 Early Years qualification (essential).
  • Previous experience working within a primary school or early years setting.
  • A positive, patient, and caring approach.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team and use initiative when supporting pupils.
