The Role
As a Maths Teacher, you will:
- Teach Mathematics across Key Stages 3 and 4, with opportunities to teach Key Stage 5 for suitably experienced candidates.
- Deliver engaging and challenging lessons that inspire students to achieve their full potential.
- Plan and deliver a broad and ambitious Mathematics curriculum.
- Assess, monitor, and support student progress to ensure outstanding outcomes.
- Use a variety of teaching and assessment strategies to engage and challenge learners of all abilities.
- Contribute to curriculum development and departmental initiatives.
- Support the wider life of the school through enrichment activities, intervention programmes, and extracurricular opportunities.
The Ideal Candidate
The successful Maths Teacher will:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Have experience teaching Mathematics at secondary level.
- Demonstrate excellent subject knowledge and a passion for Mathematics education.
- Have high expectations of student achievement and behaviour.
- Possess strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Be committed to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
- Be enthusiastic about working within a collaborative and high-performing department.
