Temporary School Cleaner Needed – Small, Friendly Rural School
Nestled in the heart of the countryside, our small rural school is a welcoming and close-knit community where staff and children alike take pride in their environment. The school is surrounded by green fields and a quiet village atmosphere, making it a lovely place to work.
We are currently looking for a cleaner to work Monday-Friday 3:30pm-5:30pm with an immediate start until Friday 23rd May.
This role will involve cleaning the nursery classrooms for two hours each evening to help keep the learning environment safe and tidy for our youngest pupils.
Why This Role Matters
The Nursery is a lively and creative space where young children explore, play, and learn each day. Keeping it clean and well-maintained is essential to ensuring the children can thrive in a safe and welcoming setting. The cleaner will play a vital role in supporting the school community by helping to maintain these high standards.
What We’re Looking For
We would love to hear from you if you:
- Have experience in cleaning (though not essential – a positive attitude and attention to detail are key)
- Are reliable and able to work independently
- Take pride in your work and care about creating a clean, safe environment for children
- Hold a valid DBS certificate (as children will still be on site during the evening)
What You’ll Be Doing
- Cleaning Nursery classrooms, including floors, surfaces, and play areas
- Ensuring toilets and communal areas are clean and hygienic
- Following health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe environment
- Reporting any issues or supply shortages to the school team
What We Offer
- A short-term, flexible role with competitive pay
