The Role:
Education World is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in Derby. This role involves working with children across a range of age groups who have additional needs, helping them access learning, build confidence, and feel included within the classroom environment.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience supporting pupils with special educational needs such as autism, ADHD, or speech and language difficulties.

  • A patient and empathetic approach to learning support.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with school staff.

  • A proactive mindset and willingness to adapt to pupils’ changing needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEN.

  • Assisting with the delivery of tailored learning activities and interventions.

  • Supporting the social and emotional development of children with additional needs.

  • Working alongside teachers and SENCOs to implement support strategies and monitor progress.
