The school provides a calm, nurturing environment for children with a range of Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs — and they are now looking for a compassionate, dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their skills as a Teaching Assistant while making a real difference in pupils’ lives every day.

What You’ll Be Doing as a Teaching Assistant:

  • Providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils with additional behavioural needs
  • Assisting with tailored learning activities
  • Promoting confidence, independence and positive behaviour
  • Working closely with teaching staff, SENDCOs and external professionals
  • Helping to maintain a safe, engaging and supportive classroom environment
  • Temp-to-perm opportunity available for the right person

  • Have experience supporting children or young people with SEND or SEMH
  • Are patient, caring and resilient
  • Communicate clearly and enjoy working as part of a team
  • Understand safeguarding and child protection expectations
  • Have school or specialist-setting experience
