Teaching Assistant – KS1 (Year 1 or Year 2) | Small Primary School in Islington | £90–£105 per day
A friendly and nurturing small primary school in Islington is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support in a Year 1 or Year 2 class from September 2025.
This is a general classroom support role, ideal for someone who is passionate about early learning and looking for a long-term opportunity.
Full academic year contract, with the potential to become permanent from September 2026.
Role Details:
- Position: KS1 Teaching Assistant (Year 1 or Year 2)
- Start Date: September 2025
- Location: Islington, London
- Pay: £90 – £105 per day (depending on experience)
- Hours: 8:00am – 3:30pm or 8:30am – 4:00pm
- Contract: Long-term with opportunity to go permanent
Responsibilities:
- General classroom support alongside the class teacher
- Working with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning
- Supporting classroom routines, preparing resources, and encouraging positive behaviour
- Helping to create a safe and inclusive learning environment

- Have experience working in a primary school (preferably KS1)
- Be reliable, proactive, and positive in approach
- Have a caring attitude and good communication skills
- Be confident supporting a range of learning abilities
