We are seeking a knowledgeable and passionate Biology Teacher to join a sought after secondary school in the Newcastle area from January 2026. This is a full-time role with an initial contract until February half term.
The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching both dual award and triple award elements of Biology.
The Role:
- Deliver engaging Biology lessons to students in Key Stages 3 and 4
- KS5 Biology teaching is desirable but not essential
- Plan, prepare, and assess learning in line with curriculum objectives
- Contribute to the wider school community and work collaboratively with colleagues
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching qualification
- Have experience teaching Biology at KS3 and KS4 (KS5 experience is a bonus)
- Be passionate about Biology and committed to student progress in Science
- Demonstrate strong classroom management and effective communication skills
