Breakfast & After School Club Assistant – Ryton 

📍 Location: Ryton
🕒 Hours: Split shifts – Breakfast Club (7:30am–9:00am) & After School Club (3:00pm–6:00pm)
📅 Start Date: Immediate / September 2025

The Role:
We are looking for a caring and enthusiastic Breakfast and After School Club Assistant to join a supportive primary school in Ryton. You will play a key role in providing a safe, fun, and engaging environment for children before and after the school day.

Duties will include:

  • Supervising and engaging children in play and structured activities

  • Preparing light breakfasts/snacks and ensuring healthy choices

  • Promoting positive behaviour and safeguarding at all times

  • Supporting children’s social and emotional well-being

  • Helping with set-up and tidy-down of activities and resources

Requirements:

  • A relevant childcare qualification (Level 2 or above) is essential

  • Previous experience working with children in a school, nursery, or play setting

  • Strong communication and team-working skills

  • A caring, patient, and proactive approach

  • An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply)
