Deputy Nursery Manager x2 – Haringey
We are currently seeking two experienced and motivated Deputy Nursery Managers to join welcoming and well-established nurseries across Haringey. This is an excellent opportunity for dedicated early years professionals who are passionate about delivering high-quality childcare while supporting the day-to-day leadership and management of nursery settings.
As a Deputy Nursery Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the Nursery Manager with the smooth running of the setting, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Nursery Manager with the daily operations of the setting as a Deputy Nursery Manager, ensuring high standards of care and education.
- Assist with leading, supporting, and motivating nursery staff to deliver engaging and high-quality early years provision.
- Help ensure the nursery operates in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and all relevant policies and procedures.
- Support with planning and delivering age-appropriate activities that promote children’s learning and development.
- Build positive relationships with children, parents, and carers, ensuring effective communication and partnership working.
- Assist with staff supervision, training, and performance support as required.
- Support the monitoring of children’s progress and ensure accurate records are maintained.
- Ensure safeguarding procedures, health and safety policies, and regulatory requirements are followed at all times.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- A relevant Early Years qualification (Level 3 or above).
- Previous experience working within an early years setting.
- Experience in a senior or leadership role within a nursery environment (desirable).
- A strong understanding of the EYFS framework and early childhood development.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills.
- A caring, enthusiastic, and proactive approach to supporting children and staff.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
