Executive Head – North London
We are seeking an exceptional and experienced Executive Head to lead a well-established Children's, Young People & Community Centre. This is an exciting opportunity for a strategic and inspirational leader to oversee a thriving provision that delivers high-quality early years education, family support services, community engagement programmes, and opportunities for children and young people to flourish.
The centre is a highly respected organisation that serves a diverse local community and is recognised for its holistic approach to supporting children, families, and young people. Alongside delivering high-quality early years provision, the organisation offers a range of family-focused services, community initiatives, and targeted support programmes designed to improve outcomes and promote wellbeing across all age groups.
As Executive Head, you will provide strategic leadership across the organisation, ensuring the highest standards of education, care, safeguarding, and community engagement. You will work closely with senior leaders, governors/trustees, staff, families, and external partners to drive continuous improvement and ensure the centre remains at the heart of the community it serves.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and vision across all areas of the organisation.
- Lead and manage senior leaders, educational staff, and support teams to ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Drive continuous improvement across early years provision, community services, and family support programmes.
- Ensure compliance with all statutory, safeguarding, and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and maintain strong partnerships with local authorities, external agencies, community organisations, and stakeholders.
- Oversee operational, financial, and resource management to ensure organisational sustainability and effectiveness.
- Monitor performance and implement strategies to improve outcomes for children, young people, and families.
- Foster a positive organisational culture that promotes inclusion, wellbeing, and professional development.
- Represent the organisation at local, regional, and strategic partnership meetings.
Ensure safeguarding remains central to all aspects of the organisation's work.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Significant previous experience as an Executive Head within an educational setting – essential.
- A proven track record of successful strategic leadership and organisational development.
- Strong knowledge of education, safeguarding, and children's services.
- Experience leading large, multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong financial, operational, and resource management experience.
- The ability to inspire, motivate, and lead teams through change and continuous improvement.
- A commitment to improving outcomes for children, young people, and families.
