Facilities Operator – Newcastle Area

As a Facilities Operator, you will play a key role in supporting the upkeep, cleanliness, and general maintenance of the school environment to ensure facilities remain safe, functional, and welcoming at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the day-to-day management and maintenance of school facilities and site areas.
- Carry out general cleaning, maintenance, and basic repairs where required.
- As a Facilities Operator, ensure the site remains safe, secure, and well-presented at all times.
- Assist with room setups, furniture movement, and site preparation for school activities and events.
- Monitor cleaning standards and support wider site and facilities operations.
- Report maintenance, health and safety, or security concerns promptly.
- Work collaboratively with site staff, contractors, and wider school teams.
- Ensure safeguarding procedures and school policies are followed at all times.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Previous experience managing facilities, site operations, or cleaning services – essential.
- A good understanding of health and safety procedures.
- Strong practical and organisational skills.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A proactive, flexible, and reliable approach.
