Job Title: French Teacher

Pay Scale: £140 – £210 per day (depending on experience)
Contract Type: Part-time (Tuesday – Thursday), long-term sick cover

The Role
Education World are seeking a passionate and dedicated French Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school in Derby. This is a long-term sick cover role, working Tuesday to Thursday each week, with responsibilities for delivering high-quality French lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.

What We’re Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification

  • Specialism in French with strong curriculum knowledge

  • Experience teaching French at KS3 and KS4

  • Strong classroom management and behaviour strategies

  • Enthusiasm for inspiring students and raising attainment

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach French across KS3 and KS4, adapting lessons to meet the needs of all learners

  • Plan and deliver engaging and effective lessons in line with the curriculum

  • Monitor, assess, and report on student progress

  • Contribute to departmental planning and resources

  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
