Education World is currently recruiting passionate and skilled Key Stage 2 Teachers to work in friendly and forward-thinking primary schools across the Gateshead area. This is a fantastic opportunity for teachers who are enthusiastic about helping pupils grow academically and personally during these key formative years.
Your Role:
As a KS2 Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering creative and challenging lessons that engage pupils in Years 3 to 6. You will help them build strong foundations in core subjects while supporting their confidence, independence, and curiosity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and teach high-quality lessons in line with the KS2 National Curriculum
- Use assessments to monitor progress and inform future planning
- Encourage positive behaviour and a supportive classroom environment
- Work effectively with teaching assistants, parents, and school staff
- Participate in wider school life and contribute to whole-school initiatives
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching in KS2 (placements or post-qualification)
- Strong subject knowledge and behaviour management skills
- Ability to engage and motivate pupils of varying abilities
