Secondary Maths Teacher – Greenwich
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Secondary Maths Teacher to join a supportive and forward-thinking school in Greenwich. As a Secondary Maths Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering a well-structured maths curriculum, inspiring students to develop strong numerical and problem-solving skills while fostering a positive attitude towards learning.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging maths lessons as a Secondary Maths Teacher, in line with the national curriculum.
- Support students across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping them develop confidence and understanding in mathematics.
- Use a range of teaching strategies to engage learners and support different learning styles.
- Assess, monitor, and track student progress, using data to inform planning and targeted support.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages participation and academic progress.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues in the mathematics department to support curriculum development and student success.
- Build positive relationships with students, parents, and staff to support students’ academic development.
- Ensure safeguarding procedures and school policies are followed at all times.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experience teaching mathematics at secondary school level.
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for mathematics education.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- The ability to deliver engaging lessons that support student understanding and achievement.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
