As an English Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, inspiring students to develop confidence in reading, writing, and communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging English lessons in line with the national curriculum.
- Support students of varying abilities to achieve their academic potential.
- As an English Teacher, assess, monitor, and report on student progress.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes engagement and achievement.
- Manage behaviour effectively in line with school policies.
- Differentiate lessons and resources to meet the needs of all learners.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and wider school staff to support student development.
- Ensure safeguarding procedures and school policies are followed at all times.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential.
- Previous experience teaching English within a secondary school setting.
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for English education.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- The ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
- A proactive, adaptable, and professional approach.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.
