Maths Teacher – North Tyneside

As a Maths Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality mathematics lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping students build confidence and achieve success in numeracy and problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging Maths lessons in line with the national curriculum.
- Support students of varying abilities to achieve their academic potential.
- As a Maths Teacher, assess, monitor, and report on student progress.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes engagement and achievement.
- Manage behaviour effectively in line with school policies.
- Differentiate lessons and resources to meet the needs of all learners.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and wider school staff to support student development.
- Ensure safeguarding procedures and school policies are followed at all times.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential.
- Strong maths subject knowledge – essential.
- Previous experience teaching Maths within a secondary school setting.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- The ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
- A proactive, adaptable, and professional approach.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.
