Maths Teacher - SEMH Provision
Location: Newcastle Upon Tyne

Contract Type: Full-time, Rolling contract (potential for temp to perm)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM
Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Maths Teacher to join a thriving SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) Provision in Newcastle Upon Tyne. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality Mathematics education to students with diverse needs in a supportive and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging mathematics lessons tailored to SEMH students
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet individual student needs
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing regular feedback
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a holistic approach to student support
- Maintain a positive and nurturing classroom environment
- Contribute to the overall development of the SEMH provision
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching Mathematics at secondary level
- Understanding of SEMH needs and appropriate interventions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, resilience, and a passion for supporting vulnerable students
