Maths Teacher (September 2026 Start)
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Maths Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school in North Tyneside from September 2026.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified teacher to join a supportive department and deliver engaging mathematics lessons to secondary-aged pupils. The school is committed to high standards of teaching and learning and offers a positive environment where both staff and students are encouraged to achieve their full potential.
This role would suit an experienced Maths teacher or an Early Career Teacher (ECT) looking to develop their career within a well-structured and collaborative school environment.
The Role:
- Deliver engaging and well-structured Maths lessons to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 pupils
- Plan, prepare, and assess lessons in line with the national curriculum
- Monitor pupil progress and provide targeted support where required
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports learning for all pupils
- Work collaboratively with the Maths department and wider school staff
- Contribute to the wider school community and uphold high standards of behaviour and achievement
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
- Have experience teaching Mathematics at secondary level
- Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and a passion for teaching Maths
- Be confident managing behaviour and creating a positive learning environment
- Have excellent communication, organisation, and classroom management skills
- Be committed to supporting pupil progress and attainment
