Nursery Nurse

Location: London
Hours: 8:00am – 4:00pm or 10:00am – 6:00pm, Monday to Friday
Contract: Full Time
Start: Trial week last week of March | Formal start 7th April

Education World is proud to be working in partnership with a well established Nursery and Children’s Centre led by an inspirational and highly respected Headteacher. The setting serves a diverse and vibrant community and is committed to inclusion, early intervention and ensuring every child receives the very best start in life.

We are seeking two dedicated Nursery Nurses to join the team. The roles will predominantly be based within the 2 year old provision, supporting children at a crucial stage of their early development. Successful candidates will attend trial days during the final week of March ahead of a formal start date of 7th April.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a nurturing, structured and high expectation environment where leadership is strong and staff development is genuinely valued.

The Role

Support children within the 2 year old rooms, promoting early language, social and emotional development

Plan and deliver engaging, age appropriate activities in line with the EYFS framework

Support early communication, play based learning and routine development

Observe, assess and record children’s progress accurately

Act as a key worker for designated children and maintain strong relationships with parents and carers

Support emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies

Ensure a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment

Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain high standards of care and safeguarding

The Ideal Candidate Will

Hold a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years

Have experience working within a nursery or children’s centre setting

Have a strong understanding of the EYFS framework

Experience supporting children with additional needs or SEN would be highly beneficial

Demonstrate patience, warmth and a nurturing approach, particularly with younger children

Be proactive, reflective and committed to high standards

Have strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
