Exceptional Humanities Teachers Wanted – Opportunities Across the UK
Key Stage 3–4 | Secondary Schools in London, Birmingham, Norfolk, Yorkshire, and Northamptonshire

Are you a passionate Humanities teacher eager to inspire the next generation of historians, geographers, and critical thinkers? Education World is seeking outstanding Humanities teachers to join dynamic secondary schools across the UK – including in London, Birmingham, Norfolk, Yorkshire, and Northamptonshire.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging Humanities lessons (History, Geography, RE or a combination) to students aged 11–16.

  • Develop schemes of work in line with the national curriculum that foster enquiry, debate, and curiosity.

  • Track and assess student progress to ensure strong outcomes and sustained improvement.

  • Create an inclusive and stimulating learning environment where all students are encouraged to explore ideas and think critically.

  • Participate in extracurricular activities, trips, and events that bring the Humanities to life.

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to share resources, strategies, and best practice.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) 

  • A degree in a relevant Humanities subject (e.g., History, Geography, Religious Studies).

  • Experience teaching Humanities at secondary level in the UK.

  • Strong subject knowledge and a commitment to ongoing professional development.

  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.

  • A genuine enthusiasm for Humanities education and its role in developing informed global citizens.
