Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging Humanities lessons (History, Geography, RE or a combination) to students aged 11–16.

Develop schemes of work in line with the national curriculum that foster enquiry, debate, and curiosity.

Track and assess student progress to ensure strong outcomes and sustained improvement.

Create an inclusive and stimulating learning environment where all students are encouraged to explore ideas and think critically.

Participate in extracurricular activities, trips, and events that bring the Humanities to life.

Work collaboratively with colleagues to share resources, strategies, and best practice.
Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

A degree in a relevant Humanities subject (e.g., History, Geography, Religious Studies).

Experience teaching Humanities at secondary level in the UK.

Strong subject knowledge and a commitment to ongoing professional development.

Excellent communication and classroom management skills.

A genuine enthusiasm for Humanities education and its role in developing informed global citizens.
