Early Years Teaching Assistant (Level 2 or Level 3 Qualified)
Location: Amble, Northumberland
Start Date: Monday 23 February 2026 (after February half term)
Hours: 08:30–15:30, Monday to Friday
Duration: Initially 4–6 weeks
Contract Type: Temporary / Full-time
About the Role:
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Level 2 or Level 3 qualified Early Years Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and welcoming school in Amble. This is an excellent opportunity to make a real difference in the classroom while gaining valuable experience in an Early Years setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the lead teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive Early Years activities
- Assist with classroom management and ensure a safe, nurturing environment for children
- Support children’s learning and development according to the school’s curriculum
- Assist with day-to-day routines, including preparing resources and maintaining classroom organisation
- Observe and report on children’s progress and behaviour to the class teacher
Requirements:
- Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years or Teaching Assistant qualification
- Experience working in Early Years education is preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable, proactive, and flexible
