Location: South Tyneside
Contract Type: Full-time, Term Time Only

We are working in partnership with a welcoming Early Years setting, and invite applications for a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Years Practitioner.

Your Role
As an Early Years Practitioner you will contribute to delivering high-quality education and care for children aged from infancy through to school-age within a dynamic centre. You will help build structured, nurturing learning experiences, promoting children’s welfare, development and readiness for school.
Key Responsibilities
- Work across age phases (babies, toddlers, pre-school, reception) to support teaching, learning and wellbeing.
- Plan and implement engaging play-based and structured activities that excite and challenge children.
- Monitor, record and review children’s progress and ensure continuity of learning
- Maintain a safe and welcoming environment in line with safeguarding and welfare regulations.
- Collaborate with colleagues, contribute to curriculum planning and support transitions into school.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience working in Early Years or Nursery settings.
- A sound understanding of child development from 0-5 years and ability to adapt to multiple age phases.
- Excellent communication, teamwork and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to promoting children’s welfare and achieving high standards of care.
- Relevant qualification (for example Level 3 in Early Years) or willingness to work toward one.
