We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Psychology Teacher to join a mainstream secondary school in Newcastle on a full-time basis until the end of the summer term. This role is starting after February half term and offers an excellent opportunity to teach Psychology in a supportive and well-established school environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging Psychology lessons, supporting pupil progress, and contributing positively to the wider school community.
The Role:
- Teach Psychology across Key Stages 4 and 5
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons in line with the curriculum
- Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress
- Create a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment
- Work collaboratively with departmental colleagues and wider school staff
- Fulfil full-time teaching hours, Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
- Have experience teaching Psychology at secondary level (KS4 and/or KS5)
- Demonstrate strong classroom management and effective communication skills
- Be committed to raising attainment and supporting student progress
- Be available to commit until the end of the summer term
