Job Title: Nursery & Out of School Club Practitioner
Location: North Tyneside (NE27)
Hours: 37 hours per week (typically across 4 days)
Qualification: Level 3 Early Years Qualification
We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery & Out of School Club Practitioner to join a welcoming and well-regarded primary school in North Tyneside (NE27). This is a full-time position of 37 hours per week, usually worked across four days. Shift patterns will vary to meet the needs of the provision, with example shifts including 7:30am–6:00pm or 9:00am–4:00pm. Flexibility is essential.
This is a varied and rewarding role that spans across the school day, supporting children at different stages of development. In the mornings, the successful candidate will be working with primary-aged children (3–11 years) attending the breakfast club, providing a safe, welcoming, and engaging start to their school day.
During the school day, the role involves working with 2 and 3 year olds in the nursery setting, supporting learning and development in line with the EYFS framework and delivering age-appropriate, play-based activities while observing and monitoring progress.
In the afternoons, the role includes supporting children aged 3–11 years in the after school club.
The ideal candidate will hold a Level 3 Early Years qualification and have experience working across both Early Years and primary-aged settings. They should have strong knowledge of the EYFS framework, be confident supporting children across a wide age range, and demonstrate a warm, nurturing, and professional approach. Adaptability, proactivity, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team are essential.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive primary school community and play a key role in both nursery education and wraparound care provision. If you are a committed Early Years professional looking for a varied and fulfilling role, we would love to hear from you.
