SEND Teacher – Full Time
Location: Ashington
Hours: 08:30–15:30, Monday–Friday
Setting: Specialist SEND Base within a Mainstream Primary School
A fantastic primary school in Ashington is seeking a dedicated and experienced SEND Teacher to join their specialist SEND base. This provision supports pupils aged 4–7 with EHCPs and significant special educational needs, providing a nurturing and structured environment tailored to each child.
About the Role:
- Full-time SEND teaching position within a specialist base
- Teaching and managing a mixed-age group of pupils with a range of complex needs
- Working closely with a supportive team consisting of 1 Teacher and multiple Teaching Assistants
- Planning and delivering personalised learning, in collaboration with SENCO
- Creating an inclusive, positive and safe learning environment
The Ideal Candidate:
- Experienced SEND Teacher with a strong understanding of complex needs
- Confident in managing mixed-age classes
- Skilled in differentiation, behaviour support and personalised learning
- Compassionate, patient and committed to supporting each child’s progress
- Able to work effectively within a team and communicate well with staff and families
