Job Title: English Teacher (KS3–KS4)

Contract Type: Full-Time (Mon–Fri, 8:30am–3:30pm)
Pay: From £140+ per day (dependent on experience)
Contract Length: September – December 2025 (with potential for temp-to-perm)
We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic English Teacher to join a vibrant and forward-thinking secondary school in the Newcastle area from September 2025. This is a full-time role with an initial contract until December, with the possibility of a permanent position following a successful initial term.
The school is part of a supportive network of local schools and prides itself on being inclusive, progressive, and focused on delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences.
The Role:

Deliver engaging English lessons to students in Key Stages 3 and 4

KS5 English Language or Literature teaching is desirable but not essential

Plan, prepare, and assess learning in line with curriculum objectives

Contribute to the wider school community and work collaboratively with colleagues
The Ideal Candidate Will:

Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching qualification

Have experience teaching English at KS3 and KS4 (KS5 experience is a bonus)

Be passionate about English and committed to student progress

Demonstrate strong classroom management and effective communication skills
