Our partner SEMH School in Sunderland is seeking an enthusiastic SEMH Teaching Assistant to join there team. Key Responsibilities:
- Support students with SEMH needs in a Secondary school setting, assisting with their academic, emotional, and social development.
- Work closely with the class teacher to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
- Assist in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and behaviour support plans.
- Provide one-on-one and small group support to students, helping them to achieve their full potential.
- Promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being through therapeutic and holistic approaches.

Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children with SEMH needs is highly desirable.
- A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach to supporting students with challenging behaviour's.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
