SEN Teaching Assistant

Pay Scale: £90 - £105 per day
Contract Type: Full-Time, Term-Time Only
The Role
Education World is currently recruiting a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Derby. This is a fantastic opportunity to support pupils with additional needs in a rewarding and varied classroom setting. The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers, SENCOs, and external specialists to provide targeted support for children with EHCPs and a range of learning, emotional, and behavioural needs.
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for someone who:

Has previous experience supporting children with special educational needs (in a school or care setting)

Is calm, patient, and resilient with a genuine passion for inclusion

Can build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and families

Is committed to promoting positive outcomes for children with additional needs

Holds an enhanced DBS on the update service or is willing to apply for one
Key Responsibilities

Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils with SEN

Support class teachers in delivering personalised learning

Contribute to EHCP reviews and pupil progress meetings

Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing

Liaise with the SENCO and external agencies as required
